Ingredients

  • Tambaqui fillets - 400 grams
  • Lime juice - 60 ml
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Fresh cilantro - 30 grams, chopped
  • Olive oil - 30 ml
  • Sea salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Sliced onions - 100 grams
  • Bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F).
  2. In a bowl, combine lime juice, minced garlic, olive oil, sea salt, black pepper, and paprika to create a marinade.
  3. Place the tambaqui fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well coated. Let it marinate for 20 minutes.
  4. In a baking dish, layer the sliced onions, bell pepper, and tomato to create a bed for the fish.
  5. Place the marinated tambaqui fillets on top of the vegetable bed.
  6. Sprinkle the chopped cilantro over the fish and vegetables.
  7. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the fish is cooked through and flaky.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with additional cilantro if desired.
