Ingredients

  • T-bone steak - 500 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Fresh rosemary - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Fresh thyme - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lemon - 1, juiced
  • Chimichurri sauce - 100 grams (for serving)

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, chopped rosemary, chopped thyme, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice to create the marinade.
  2. Place the T-bone steak in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over it, ensuring the steak is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
  3. Preheat the barbecue grill to high heat.
  4. Remove the steak from the marinade and let it come to room temperature for about 15 minutes.
  5. Place the T-bone steak on the hot grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and grill for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, or adjust cooking time for desired doneness.
  6. Once cooked, remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  7. Serve the T-bone steak with chimichurri sauce on the side.
