  • Salt - 2 grams
  • Butter (kosher) - 50 grams, softened
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Milk - 100 ml
  • Grated Parmesan cheese - 50 grams
  • Grated mozzarella cheese - 50 grams
  • Chopped parsley - 10 grams
  • Olive oil - for frying

Steps

  1. In a bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt together.
  2. In another bowl, cream the softened butter and then add the egg, mixing well until combined.
  3. Gradually add the milk to the butter and egg mixture, stirring until smooth.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
  5. Fold in the grated Parmesan, mozzarella, and chopped parsley until evenly distributed.
  6. On a floured surface, roll the dough out to about 1 cm thick. Cut into small circles or squares, about 5 cm in diameter.
  7. Heat olive oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Fry the dough pieces until they are golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
  8. Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve warm.
