- Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
- Green Bell Pepper, finely chopped - 1/2 (about 50 grams)
- Cilantro, chopped - 2 tablespoons
- Lime Juice - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black Pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Egg - 1 large
- Breadcrumbs - 100 grams
- Oil for frying - enough for frying
Steps
- In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the chopped onion and garlic until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the green bell pepper and cook for an additional 2 minutes until softened.
- In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, sautéed vegetables, cilantro, lime juice, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix well until fully combined.
- Shape the chicken mixture into small balls or patties, about the size of a golf ball.
- In a shallow bowl, beat the egg. In another shallow bowl, place the breadcrumbs.
- Dip each chicken ball first into the egg, allowing excess to drip off, then roll in the breadcrumbs to coat evenly.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add the chicken balls in batches, frying until golden brown on all sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove from the pan and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil. Serve hot.
