Ingredients

  • Cooked Chicken Breast, shredded - 200 grams
  • Onion, finely chopped - 1 medium (about 100 grams)
  • Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
  • Green Bell Pepper, finely chopped - 1/2 (about 50 grams)
  • Cilantro, chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Lime Juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black Pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Breadcrumbs - 100 grams
  • Oil for frying - enough for frying

Steps

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the chopped onion and garlic until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  2. Add the green bell pepper and cook for an additional 2 minutes until softened.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, sautéed vegetables, cilantro, lime juice, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix well until fully combined.
  4. Shape the chicken mixture into small balls or patties, about the size of a golf ball.
  5. In a shallow bowl, beat the egg. In another shallow bowl, place the breadcrumbs.
  6. Dip each chicken ball first into the egg, allowing excess to drip off, then roll in the breadcrumbs to coat evenly.
  7. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add the chicken balls in batches, frying until golden brown on all sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  8. Remove from the pan and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil. Serve hot.
