Ingredients
- Lasagna sheets - 6 pieces
- Ricotta cheese - 250 grams
- Spinach - 100 grams (fresh or frozen)
- Parmesan cheese - 50 grams (grated)
- Mozzarella cheese - 100 grams (shredded)
- Tomato sauce - 300 grams
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves (minced)
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Nutmeg - a pinch
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
- Add spinach to the skillet and cook until wilted. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, cooked spinach, grated Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg. Mix well.
- Boil lasagna sheets in salted water for 3-4 minutes until slightly soft, then drain and rinse with cold water.
- Lay a lasagna sheet flat and place 2 tablespoons of the ricotta mixture at one end, rolling it up tightly. Repeat with remaining sheets.
- Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Place the rolled lasagna sheets seam-side down in the baking dish. Pour the remaining tomato sauce over the top and sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
