Ingredients

  • Lasagna sheets - 6 pieces
  • Ricotta cheese - 250 grams
  • Spinach - 100 grams (fresh or frozen)
  • Parmesan cheese - 50 grams (grated)
  • Mozzarella cheese - 100 grams (shredded)
  • Tomato sauce - 300 grams
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves (minced)
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Nutmeg - a pinch

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  3. Add spinach to the skillet and cook until wilted. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  4. In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, cooked spinach, grated Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg. Mix well.
  5. Boil lasagna sheets in salted water for 3-4 minutes until slightly soft, then drain and rinse with cold water.
  6. Lay a lasagna sheet flat and place 2 tablespoons of the ricotta mixture at one end, rolling it up tightly. Repeat with remaining sheets.
  7. Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  8. Place the rolled lasagna sheets seam-side down in the baking dish. Pour the remaining tomato sauce over the top and sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  9. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  10. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
