Ingredients

  • Okra - 200 grams
  • Almond flour - 50 grams
  • Parmesan cheese (grated) - 30 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 50 ml

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Wash the okra under cold water and pat dry with a paper towel. Cut the okra into 1 cm thick slices.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  4. In another bowl, beat the egg until well mixed.
  5. Dip each okra slice in the egg, allowing excess to drip off, then coat it in the almond flour mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  6. Place the coated okra slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, making sure they are in a single layer.
  7. Drizzle olive oil over the okra slices, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the okra is golden and crispy, flipping halfway through for even cooking.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
