Ingredients

  • Fresh guava puree - 200 grams
  • Coconut milk - 120 ml
  • Honey or agave syrup - 2 tablespoons
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - a pinch

Steps

  1. Start by preheating your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a blender, combine the fresh guava puree, coconut milk, honey (or agave syrup), vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Blend until smooth.
  3. In a small saucepan, combine the guava mixture with cornstarch and heat over medium heat, stirring constantly until it thickens slightly, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Pour the mixture into two individual ramekins or a small baking dish.
  5. Place the ramekins in a larger baking dish and fill the larger dish with water until it reaches halfway up the sides of the ramekins (this creates a water bath).
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until set.
  7. Remove from the oven, let cool, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
