- Apple - 1 large, thinly sliced
- Cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
- Nutmeg - 1/4 teaspoon
- Walnuts - 30 grams, chopped (optional)
- Almonds - 30 grams, sliced (for topping, optional)
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, coconut flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the melted coconut oil, honey, and egg until well combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
- Transfer the dough onto the prepared baking sheet and use your hands to shape it into a round pizza crust, about 0.5 cm thick.
- Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
- While the crust is baking, prepare the apple topping by tossing the thinly sliced apple with cinnamon and nutmeg in a bowl.
- Once the crust is baked, remove it from the oven and arrange the spiced apple slices evenly on top, sprinkling walnuts and sliced almonds if using.
- Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the apples are tender.
- Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, then slice and serve warm.
