Ingredients

  • Whole wheat pizza dough - 200 grams
  • Mozzarella cheese, shredded - 100 grams
  • Jambú leaves, fresh - 50 grams
  • Tomato sauce - 100 grams
  • Bell pepper, sliced - 50 grams
  • Onion, thinly sliced - 30 grams
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic, minced - 1 clove
  • Oregano, dried - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F).
  2. Roll out the whole wheat pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  3. Transfer the rolled dough onto a pizza stone or baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  5. In a small pan, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  6. Add the sliced onions and bell peppers to the pan, cooking until they are soft, about 3-4 minutes. Season with salt, black pepper, and dried oregano.
  7. Spread the sautéed vegetables over the tomato sauce on the pizza.
  8. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.
  9. Add the fresh jambú leaves on top of the cheese.
  10. Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
