  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Bell pepper - 1/2, diced
  • Tomato - 1 medium, diced
  • Mozzarella cheese - 100 grams, shredded
  • Oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Fresh basil - for garnish

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine warm water and yeast; let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add whole wheat flour, olive oil, and salt to the yeast mixture; knead until a smooth dough forms. Cover and let it rise for 30 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, in a skillet, heat a tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté until translucent.
  4. Add cleaned chicken hearts to the skillet, season with salt, black pepper, and oregano. Cook for about 10 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  5. Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F).
  6. Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a heart shape and place it on a baking sheet.
  7. Spread diced tomatoes over the dough, followed by the cooked chicken hearts, diced bell pepper, and shredded mozzarella cheese.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
