Ingredients
- Popcorn kernels - 100 grams
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Nutritional yeast - 2 tablespoons
- Sea salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Chopped fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons
Steps
- In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add a few popcorn kernels to the pot and cover it with a lid. Wait for the kernels to pop to ensure the oil is hot enough.
- Once the test kernels pop, add the remaining popcorn kernels to the pot and cover it with the lid.
- Shake the pot occasionally to prevent the popcorn from burning and to ensure even popping, about 3-5 minutes until the popping slows down.
- Remove the pot from heat and let it sit for a minute to allow any remaining kernels to pop.
- In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, smoked paprika, nutritional yeast, sea salt, and black pepper.
- Transfer the popped popcorn to a large bowl and sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over the popcorn.
- Toss the popcorn gently to coat it with the seasonings.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve immediately.
