Ingredients

  • Popcorn kernels - 100 grams
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Parmesan cheese, grated - 50 grams
  • Butter, melted - 1 tablespoon
  • Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
  2. Add a few popcorn kernels to the pot and cover it. Once those kernels pop, you know the oil is hot enough.
  3. Add the remaining popcorn kernels to the pot and cover it again. Shake the pot occasionally to prevent burning.
  4. Once the popping slows down (about 2-3 seconds between pops), remove the pot from heat and let it sit for a minute to allow any remaining kernels to pop.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, paprika, black pepper, and salt.
  6. Transfer the popped corn to a large mixing bowl and drizzle the butter mixture over it, tossing to coat evenly.
  7. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the popcorn and mix well until the cheese is evenly distributed.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy your Pipoca com Queijo!
