Ingredients
- Popcorn kernels - 100 grams
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Parmesan cheese, grated - 50 grams
- Butter, melted - 1 tablespoon
- Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
Steps
- In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
- Add a few popcorn kernels to the pot and cover it. Once those kernels pop, you know the oil is hot enough.
- Add the remaining popcorn kernels to the pot and cover it again. Shake the pot occasionally to prevent burning.
- Once the popping slows down (about 2-3 seconds between pops), remove the pot from heat and let it sit for a minute to allow any remaining kernels to pop.
- In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, paprika, black pepper, and salt.
- Transfer the popped corn to a large mixing bowl and drizzle the butter mixture over it, tossing to coat evenly.
- Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the popcorn and mix well until the cheese is evenly distributed.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your Pipoca com Queijo!
