  • Coarse sea salt - 1 tablespoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic cloves - 2, minced
  • Fresh black pepper - 1 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped

Steps

  1. Preheat your grill to high heat.
  2. Trim any excess fat from the picanha, but leave a layer about 1 cm thick for flavor.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the minced garlic, olive oil, black pepper, and lemon juice.
  4. Rub the garlic mixture evenly over the picanha, ensuring it is well coated.
  5. Generously season both sides of the picanha with coarse sea salt.
  6. Place the picanha on the hot grill, fat side down, and grill for about 5-6 minutes.
  7. Flip the picanha and grill for another 5-6 minutes for medium-rare, adjusting time for desired doneness.
  8. Remove from the grill and allow it to rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  9. Slice the picanha against the grain into thin strips and garnish with fresh parsley.
  10. Serve hot with your choice of sides such as rice, beans, or a fresh salad.
