Ingredients

  • Picanha beef - 500 grams
  • Garlic cloves - 3, minced
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Coarse sea salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Start by trimming any excess fat from the picanha, leaving about 1 cm for flavor.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the minced garlic, olive oil, chopped parsley, coarse sea salt, black pepper, and lemon juice to create a marinade.
  3. Rub the marinade generously over the picanha, ensuring it’s well coated, and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes at room temperature.
  4. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Place the marinated picanha on the grill, fat side down, and cook for about 4-5 minutes until it develops a nice crust.
  6. Flip the picanha and grill for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, adjusting the time for your preferred doneness.
  7. Once cooked, remove the picanha from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing against the grain.
  8. Serve with fresh salad or grilled vegetables.
