- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Burger buns - 2 units
- Fresh arugula - 40 grams
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Red onion - 1 small, thinly sliced
- Cheddar cheese - 2 slices
- Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
- Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Preheat the grill or a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Trim any excess fat from the picanha and cut it into two equal portions.
- Rub the picanha portions with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- Drizzle olive oil on the grill or skillet, then place the picanha on it.
- Grill for about 5-7 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.
- In the last couple of minutes of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each burger to melt.
- While the burgers are cooking, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a separate pan until golden brown.

- Assemble the burgers by spreading the lime mayo on the bottom bun, adding arugula, the grilled picanha with melted cheese, sliced tomato, and red onion.
- Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
