Ingredients

  • Pescada fillets - 300 grams
  • Lime juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Bell pepper (red) - 1 medium, sliced
  • Onion - 1 medium, sliced
  • Tomato - 1 medium, diced
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine lime juice, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, black pepper, and paprika to create a marinade.
  2. Add the pescada fillets to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. While the fish is marinating, heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a tablespoon of olive oil.
  4. Once hot, add the sliced onion and bell pepper to the skillet. Sauté for about 5 minutes until they start to soften.
  5. Add the diced tomato to the skillet and cook for an additional 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Push the vegetables to the side of the skillet and add the marinated pescada fillets. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Once cooked, sprinkle chopped cilantro over the dish before serving.
