- Pork shoulder - 500 grams
- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Oregano - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
- Bay leaves - 2
Steps
- In a bowl, mix minced garlic, olive oil, oregano, cumin, paprika, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice to create a marinade.
- Rub the marinade all over the pork shoulder, ensuring it is well coated. Place bay leaves on top.
- Cover the pork with plastic wrap and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
- Preheat the oven to 160°C (320°F).
- Place the marinated pork shoulder in a roasting pan and cover it with foil.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 2 hours, then remove the foil and increase the temperature to 220°C (428°F).
- Continue roasting for an additional 30 minutes or until the skin is crispy and the internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F).
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
