Ingredients
- White fish fillets (tilapia or cod) - 300 grams
- Fresh passion fruit pulp - 100 grams
- Coconut milk - 100 ml
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Shallot - 1 small, finely chopped
- Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and chopped shallot, sautéing until fragrant and translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the fish fillets to the pan, seasoning with salt and black pepper. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Remove the fish from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add the passion fruit pulp and coconut milk, stirring well to combine. Let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly.
- Stir in lime juice and chopped cilantro, adjusting seasoning if necessary. Return the fish to the pan, spooning the sauce over the fillets to coat them well.
- Serve the fish hot, garnished with additional cilantro if desired.
