Ingredients

  • White fish fillets (tilapia or cod) - 300 grams
  • Fresh passion fruit pulp - 100 grams
  • Coconut milk - 100 ml
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Shallot - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and chopped shallot, sautéing until fragrant and translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  2. Add the fish fillets to the pan, seasoning with salt and black pepper. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Remove the fish from the pan and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add the passion fruit pulp and coconut milk, stirring well to combine. Let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly.
  4. Stir in lime juice and chopped cilantro, adjusting seasoning if necessary. Return the fish to the pan, spooning the sauce over the fillets to coat them well.
  5. Serve the fish hot, garnished with additional cilantro if desired.
