Ingredients

  • Chocolate cookies - 100 grams
  • Sweetened condensed milk - 200 grams
  • Cocoa powder - 25 grams
  • Milk - 200 ml
  • Heavy cream - 100 ml
  • Sugar - 30 grams
  • Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
  • Dark chocolate (for garnish) - 20 grams

Steps

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the sweetened condensed milk, cocoa powder, and milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens, about 10 minutes.
  2. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Let it cool for a few minutes.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with the sugar until soft peaks form.
  4. Once the chocolate mixture has cooled, gently fold in the whipped cream until well combined.
  5. To assemble the pavê, dip each chocolate cookie briefly in milk and layer them at the bottom of a serving dish.
  6. Spread half of the chocolate cream mixture over the cookies, then repeat the layers with the remaining cookies and cream.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set before serving.
  8. Before serving, shave dark chocolate over the top for garnish.
