  • Cream cheese - 50 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon

  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Chopped fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons

Steps

  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the mozzarella cheese and cream cheese. Microwave for 30 seconds, stir, and then microwave for an additional 30 seconds until melted and well combined.
  2. Add the almond flour, egg, baking powder, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley to the melted cheese mixture. Mix well until a dough forms.
  3. Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and flatten each portion into a disc shape.
  4. Place a small amount of cheese (about 1 tablespoon) in the center of each disc, fold the dough over to create a half-moon shape, and pinch the edges to seal tightly.
  5. Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the filled pastries for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove from the pan and let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your low-carb Pastel de Queijo!
