Ingredients
- All-purpose flour - 200 grams
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Butter - 50 grams
- Cold water - 100 ml
- Ground beef - 250 grams
- Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Tomato - 1 medium, diced
- Green bell pepper - 1/2, diced
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Egg - 1, beaten (for egg wash)
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Add the cold butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gradually add cold water, mixing until a dough forms. Knead the dough briefly, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté the chopped onion and garlic until translucent.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet, cooking until browned. Stir in the diced tomato, green bell pepper, paprika, black pepper, and parsley. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, then remove from heat and let cool.
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Roll out the chilled dough on a floured surface to about 2-3 mm thickness. Cut into circles (approximately 10 cm in diameter).
- Place a spoonful of the beef mixture in the center of each circle. Fold the dough over to create a half-moon shape and seal the edges by pressing with a fork.
- Brush the tops of the pastries with the beaten egg.
- Arrange the pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
