Ingredients

  • Gluten-free pasta - 200 grams
  • Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
  • Olive oil - 4 tablespoons
  • Butter - 1 tablespoon
  • Red pepper flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Parmesan cheese - 30 grams, grated (optional)

Steps

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the gluten-free pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet, sautéing for about 2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
  4. Once the pasta is cooked, reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water, then drain the pasta.
  5. Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the garlic sauce, tossing to combine. If the mixture is too dry, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.
