- Fresh corn kernels - 500 grams
- Sugar - 100 grams
- Coconut milk - 150 ml
- Cornstarch - 40 grams
- Salt - a pinch
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Corn husks - for wrapping
Steps
- Soak the corn husks in warm water for about 30 minutes to soften them.
- In a blender, combine the fresh corn kernels, sugar, coconut milk, cornstarch, salt, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth.
- Take a corn husk, and spoon about 2-3 tablespoons of the corn mixture into the center.
- Fold the sides of the husk over the mixture, then fold the bottom up to secure it, creating a small parcel. Repeat with the remaining mixture and husks.
- Place the parcels in a steamer basket and steam for about 30-35 minutes until firm and cooked through.
- Remove from the steamer, let cool slightly, and serve warm or at room temperature.
