  • Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Ground cinnamon - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon (for topping)

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Peel and dice the sweet potato, then steam or boil it until tender, about 15 minutes.
  3. Drain the sweet potato and mash it in a bowl until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  5. In another bowl, combine the mashed sweet potato, plant-based milk, olive oil, and maple syrup, and mix well.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
  7. Knead the dough lightly on a floured surface for about 2-3 minutes until it is smooth.
  8. Shape the dough into small rolls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top of each roll.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
