Ingredients

  • Maminha (beef) - 500 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Red wine vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Red chili flakes - 1/4 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  2. Add the maminha to the marinade, ensuring it's well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
  3. While the beef is marinating, prepare the chimichurri sauce by mixing the chopped parsley, red wine vinegar, oregano, and red chili flakes in a small bowl. Set aside.
  4. Heat a griddle or large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated maminha to the pan.
  5. Cook the beef for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness.
  6. Remove the maminha from the heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  7. Serve the sliced maminha with a generous drizzle of chimichurri sauce on top.
