Ingredients

  • Shirataki noodles - 200 grams
  • Dried seaweed (nori or wakame) - 20 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Heavy cream - 100 ml
  • Grated Parmesan cheese - 30 grams
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Red pepper flakes - optional, to taste

Steps

  1. Rinse the Shirataki noodles under cold water and drain well.
  2. Soak the dried seaweed in warm water for about 5 minutes until rehydrated, then drain and chop into small pieces.
  3. In a pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat and add the minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add the rehydrated seaweed to the pan and cook for an additional 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and well combined.
  6. Add the Shirataki noodles to the sauce, tossing to coat them well. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  7. Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Mix in the chopped parsley before serving.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with extra parsley and Parmesan if desired.
