Ingredients

  • Fusilli Pasta - 150 grams
  • Cheddar Cheese - 100 grams, shredded
  • Mozzarella Cheese - 100 grams, shredded
  • Milk - 200 ml
  • Butter - 30 grams
  • All-purpose Flour - 20 grams
  • Garlic Powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion Powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black Pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Fresh Parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped (for garnish)

Steps

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the fusilli pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and whisk continuously for about 1 minute to create a roux.
  3. Slowly pour in the milk while whisking to prevent lumps. Continue to cook, stirring frequently, until the sauce thickens, approximately 5 minutes.
  4. Reduce the heat to low, then stir in the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses until melted and smooth.
  5. Add the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to the cheese sauce. Mix well.
  6. Combine the cooked pasta with the cheese sauce, stirring until the pasta is evenly coated.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.
