- Red pepper flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of the pasta water.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to let it burn.
- Stir in the red pepper flakes and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat it in the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, gradually add some of the reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
- Season with salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Toss in the chopped parsley just before serving.
- Serve hot, garnished with extra parsley if desired.
