- Garlic (thinly sliced) - 6 cloves
- Red pepper flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
- While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the sliced garlic to the skillet and sauté until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes, being careful not to burn it.
- Stir in the red pepper flakes and cook for another 30 seconds.
- Once the pasta is done, reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water and drain the rest.
- Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the garlic oil, tossing to combine.
- If the pasta seems dry, add a little of the reserved pasta water to achieve the desired consistency.
- Season with salt, black pepper, and lemon juice, then toss in the chopped parsley before serving.
