  • Fresh spinach - 300 grams
  • Ricotta cheese - 250 grams
  • Mozzarella cheese - 150 grams, shredded
  • Parmesan cheese - 50 grams, grated
  • Marinara sauce - 400 grams
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Nutmeg - a pinch
  • Fresh basil - 2 tablespoons, chopped

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add the fresh spinach to the pan, season with salt, black pepper, and nutmeg. Cook until wilted, about 3-4 minutes, then remove from heat.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked spinach with ricotta cheese and fresh basil. Mix well to combine.
  5. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  6. Layer 3 lasagna sheets over the sauce, followed by half of the ricotta-spinach mixture, a layer of marinara sauce, and a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese.
  7. Repeat the layering process, finishing with a layer of marinara sauce on top and the remaining mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.
  8. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Let the lasagna cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
