  • Tomato sauce - 400 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Mozzarella cheese - 150 grams, shredded
  • Parmesan cheese - 50 grams, grated
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Basil - 1 teaspoon
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Ricotta cheese - 100 grams

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until the onion is translucent.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet, cooking until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  4. Stir in the tomato sauce, salt, black pepper, oregano, and basil. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes to meld the flavors.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix the ricotta cheese with the egg until well combined. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.

  7. Repeat the layers, finishing with a layer of meat sauce on top. Sprinkle grated Parmesan and remaining mozzarella cheese over the final layer.
  8. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  10. Let the lasagna cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
