- Lasagna sheets - 200 grams
- Ground beef - 300 grams
- Onion - 1 medium, chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Tomato sauce - 400 grams
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Mozzarella cheese - 150 grams, shredded
- Parmesan cheese - 50 grams, grated
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Oregano - 1 teaspoon
- Basil - 1 teaspoon
- Egg - 1 large
- Ricotta cheese - 100 grams
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until the onion is translucent.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet, cooking until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in the tomato sauce, salt, black pepper, oregano, and basil. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes to meld the flavors.
- In a separate bowl, mix the ricotta cheese with the egg until well combined. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
- In a baking dish, spread a layer of meat sauce on the bottom. Place a layer of lasagna sheets on top, followed by half of the ricotta mixture, a layer of mozzarella cheese, and another layer of meat sauce.
- Repeat the layers, finishing with a layer of meat sauce on top. Sprinkle grated Parmesan and remaining mozzarella cheese over the final layer.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let the lasagna cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
