Ingredients
- Wild boar ground meat - 300 grams
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Whole wheat hamburger buns - 2
- Lettuce leaves - 2
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Red onion - 1/2 small, thinly sliced
- Kosher pickles - 2 slices
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the wild boar ground meat, minced garlic, chopped onion, parsley, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into two equal patties, ensuring they are slightly larger than the buns as they will shrink while cooking.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 70°C (160°F).
- While the patties are cooking, toast the whole wheat buns in a toaster or on a skillet until golden brown.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the cooked patty, sliced tomato, red onion, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious Hambúrguer de Javali!
