Ingredients

  • 500g ground chicken
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 whole-grain burger buns
  • Lettuce leaves - for serving
  • Tomato slices - for serving
  • Avocado slices - for serving
  • Low-fat yogurt - for serving

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, minced garlic, chopped onion, parsley, paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken patties and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and golden brown.
  4. While the patties are cooking, toast the whole-grain burger buns in a separate skillet or toaster.
  5. Once the patties are cooked, assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by a chicken patty, tomato slices, avocado slices, and a dollop of low-fat yogurt.
  6. Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
