- Ground lamb - 400 grams
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Fresh mint - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Egg - 1 large
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon (for grilling)
- Greek yogurt - 100 grams
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste (for sauce)
- Pepper - to taste (for sauce)
- Lettuce leaves - 4 (for serving)
- Tomato - 1, sliced (for serving)
- Onion - 1/2, sliced (for serving)
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine ground lamb, minced garlic, chopped parsley, chopped mint, cumin, paprika, salt, black pepper, and egg. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
- Divide the mixture into 2 equal portions and shape them into patties about 2 cm thick.
- Heat olive oil in a grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the patties and grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the mint yogurt sauce by mixing Greek yogurt, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Once cooked, remove the patties from the grill and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
- To serve, place each patty on a lettuce leaf and top with sliced tomato and onion. Drizzle with mint yogurt sauce and enjoy!
