Ingredients

  • Water - 500 ml
  • Unflavored gelatin powder - 10 g
  • Sugar - 100 g
  • Fruit juice (e.g., passion fruit, orange, or grape) - 200 ml each
  • Food coloring (optional) - a few drops
  • Fresh fruit pieces (e.g., kiwi, strawberries) - 50 g

Steps

  1. In a small saucepan, heat 250 ml of water until warm but not boiling.
  2. Sprinkle the unflavored gelatin powder over the warm water and let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
  3. Stir in 50 g of sugar into the gelatin mixture until completely dissolved.
  4. Add 200 ml of your chosen fruit juice to the gelatin mixture and mix well. If desired, add a few drops of food coloring to enhance the color.
  5. Pour the mixture into a mold or individual serving cups and refrigerate for about 30 minutes until set.
  6. Repeat the process with the remaining fruit juices, creating layers. Allow each layer to set for 30 minutes before adding the next layer.
  7. Once all layers are set, top with fresh fruit pieces for garnish.
  8. Refrigerate the completed Gelatina Colorida for at least 1 hour before serving.
