Geladinho

Ingredients

  • Banana - 1 large, ripe
  • Coconut milk - 150 ml
  • Honey or maple syrup - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh strawberries - 100 grams
  • Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - a pinch

Steps

  1. Peel the banana and cut it into chunks.
  2. In a blender, combine the banana, coconut milk, honey or maple syrup, lime juice, and a pinch of salt. Blend until smooth.
  3. Wash and hull the strawberries, then slice them into halves.
  4. Pour a small amount of the banana-coconut mixture into each geladinho mold, filling it about one-third full.
  5. Add a layer of sliced strawberries on top of the mixture in each mold.
  6. Cover the strawberries with more of the banana-coconut mixture until the molds are nearly full.
  7. Insert sticks into the molds and freeze for at least 4 hours or until solid.
  8. To serve, run warm water over the outside of the molds for a few seconds, then gently pull out the geladinhos.
