- Tomato puree - 200 grams

- Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Water - 500 milliliters
Steps
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil and cook the fusilli according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic and grated carrot to the skillet, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
- Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef, cooking until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Break it up with a spoon as it cooks.
- Stir in the tomato puree, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Add the water and bring the mixture to a simmer, reducing heat to low. Let it cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Once the ragu is thickened and flavorful, toss the cooked fusilli into the skillet, mixing well to combine.
- Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve immediately.
