- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Heavy cream - 100 milliliters
- Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
- Lemon zest - 1 teaspoon
- Parmesan cheese - 50 grams, grated
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
Steps
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.
- While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Allow the mixture to simmer for about 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the grated Parmesan cheese to the sauce and stir until melted and well combined. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Once the fettuccine is cooked, drain it and add it directly to the skillet with the sauce. Toss to combine, ensuring the pasta is well coated with the sauce.
- Remove from heat and garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
