- Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Tomato sauce - 200 grams
- Black olives - 50 grams, sliced
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Red pepper flakes - 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
Steps
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, sautéing until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the tomato sauce, and let it simmer for about 5 minutes. Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
