  • Onion (finely chopped) - 1 small
  • Canned crushed tomatoes - 400 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh basil (for garnish) - a handful

Steps

  1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, egg, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into small meatballs, about the size of a golf ball, and set aside.
  4. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Add the meatballs to the skillet and cook until browned on all sides, about 10 minutes.
