  • Canned tomatoes - 400 grams, crushed
  • Tomato paste - 2 tablespoons
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh basil - 5 leaves, chopped
  • Parmesan cheese - 30 grams, grated (optional)

Steps

  1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic, diced carrot, and diced celery to the skillet. Cook for another 5 minutes until the vegetables soften.
