  • Cold water - 50 ml
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cooked chicken, shredded - 150 grams
  • Onion, finely chopped - 1 small
  • Garlic, minced - 1 clove
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Chopped parsley - 2 tablespoons
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Egg (for egg wash) - 1

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt.
  3. Add the cold margarine and mix with your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Gradually add cold water, mixing until a dough forms. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  5. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat, then sauté the onion and garlic until translucent.
  6. Add the shredded chicken, parsley, black pepper, and paprika. Mix well and cook for another 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
  7. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 3mm thickness.

  9. Cut smaller circles for the tops and place them over the filling, sealing the edges by pressing with a fork.
  10. Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  11. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  12. Let cool slightly before serving.
