Ingredients

  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a blender, combine the fresh corn kernels with coconut milk and blend until smooth.
  2. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a saucepan, discarding the solids.
  3. Add sugar, milk, cinnamon powder, and a pinch of salt to the corn mixture in the saucepan.
  4. In a small bowl, dissolve the cornstarch in a little cold water, then add it to the saucepan while stirring to avoid lumps.
  5. Cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly until it thickens, about 10-15 minutes.
  6. Once thickened, pour the curau into serving bowls and let it cool slightly before serving.
