Ingredients

  • Chicken breast - 300 grams
  • Cream cheese - 100 grams
  • Almond flour - 150 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Parmesan cheese, grated - 50 grams
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - for frying

Steps

  1. Boil the chicken breast in salted water for about 20 minutes or until cooked through. Drain and shred the chicken, then set aside.
  2. In a bowl, mix the shredded chicken with cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, combine almond flour, grated Parmesan cheese, and salt. Add the egg and mix until it forms a dough.
  4. Divide the dough into small balls, about the size of a golf ball. Flatten each ball in your palm to create a disc.
  5. Place a spoonful of the chicken mixture in the center of each disc, then fold the dough over the filling and shape it into a teardrop or coxinha shape.
  6. Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry each coxinha until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  7. Remove from the pan and let drain on paper towels before serving.
