Ingredients

  • Beef ribs - 800 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Liquid smoke - 1 teaspoon
  • Unsweetened tomato sauce - 100 grams
  • Apple cider vinegar - 2 tablespoons
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Mustard - 1 tablespoon
  • Stevia or erythritol (optional) - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, salt, and olive oil to create a dry rub.
  3. Rub the dry mixture all over the beef ribs, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  4. In another bowl, combine the unsweetened tomato sauce, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and liquid smoke. If desired, add stevia or erythritol to sweeten the sauce.
  5. Place the beef ribs on the grill, bone side down, and cook for about 2 hours, turning occasionally to achieve even cooking.
  6. During the last 30 minutes of grilling, brush the barbecue sauce generously over the ribs, allowing it to caramelize slightly.
  7. Once the ribs are tender and the meat is pulling away from the bone, remove them from the grill and let them rest for 10 minutes.
  8. Slice between the bones and serve warm with additional barbecue sauce on the side.
