Steps

  1. Begin by draining and rinsing the coração de palma under cold water. Pat dry with a paper towel.
  2. Slice the heart of palm into 1 cm thick rounds.
  3. In a medium skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  4. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant but not browned.
  5. Add the sliced coração de palma to the skillet, seasoning with salt and black pepper. Sauté for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until heated through and slightly golden.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in the fresh parsley and lemon juice.
  7. Serve warm as a side dish.
