Ingredients

  • Chicken hearts - 400 grams
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Lime juice - 30 ml
  • Olive oil - 15 ml
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Skewers - 4 (if using wooden skewers, soak in water for 30 minutes)

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the minced garlic, lime juice, olive oil, paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  2. Add the chicken hearts to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  3. Preheat the grill or BBQ to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated chicken hearts onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each heart for even cooking.
  5. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until the chicken hearts are cooked through and have a nice char.
  6. Remove the skewers from the grill, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve immediately.
