Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 400 grams
  • Cheddar cheese - 100 grams, sliced
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Burger buns - 2 units
  • Lettuce - 2 leaves
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Pickles - 4 slices
  • Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
  • Hot sauce - to taste

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the patties and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.
  4. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.
  5. While the patties are cooking, toast the burger buns in a separate pan until golden brown.
  6. Assemble the burgers by spreading mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun, followed by lettuce, the cheesy patty, tomato slices, pickles, and a drizzle of hot sauce. Top with the other half of the bun.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy your high-protein Brazilian cheddar burger!
