Ingredients

  • Fresh white fish (such as tilapia or snapper) - 200 grams, diced
  • Lime juice - 60 ml
  • Fresh orange juice - 30 ml
  • Red onion - 1 small, thinly sliced
  • Tomato - 1 medium, diced
  • Cilantro - 15 grams, chopped
  • Avocado - 1 small, diced
  • Jalapeño pepper - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the diced fish with lime juice and orange juice. Make sure the fish is fully submerged in the juice.
  2. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it marinate in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes until the fish turns opaque.
  3. After marinating, add the sliced red onion, diced tomato, chopped cilantro, diced avocado, and finely chopped jalapeño to the fish mixture.
  4. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and black pepper. Gently toss to combine all the ingredients without mashing the avocado.
  5. Serve immediately in chilled bowls, garnished with extra cilantro if desired.
