- Fresh white fish (such as tilapia or snapper) - 200 grams, diced
- Lime juice - 60 ml
- Fresh orange juice - 30 ml
- Red onion - 1 small, thinly sliced
- Tomato - 1 medium, diced
- Cilantro - 15 grams, chopped
- Avocado - 1 small, diced
- Jalapeño pepper - 1 small, finely chopped
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the diced fish with lime juice and orange juice. Make sure the fish is fully submerged in the juice.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it marinate in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes until the fish turns opaque.
- After marinating, add the sliced red onion, diced tomato, chopped cilantro, diced avocado, and finely chopped jalapeño to the fish mixture.
- Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and black pepper. Gently toss to combine all the ingredients without mashing the avocado.
- Serve immediately in chilled bowls, garnished with extra cilantro if desired.
