Ingredients

  • Okra - 200 grams, sliced
  • Shrimp - 200 grams, peeled and deveined
  • Coconut milk - 200 ml
  • Onion - 1 medium, chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Palm oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Dried shrimp (or fish) - 2 tablespoons, crushed
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Heat palm oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until the onion is translucent.
  3. Stir in the sliced okra and cook for about 5 minutes until slightly soft.
  4. Add the shrimp and cook for another 3-4 minutes until they turn pink.
  5. Pour in the coconut milk and add the crushed dried shrimp, salt, and black pepper. Stir well.
  6. Let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  7. Remove from heat, stir in chopped cilantro, and serve hot.
